In English we have been reading the Hodgeheg by Dick King-Smith. Max is trying to find out how humans cross the road safety. Take a look at these road safety videos below:
What do you think are the dangers are of crossing the road?
What advice do you think you could give Max when crossing the road?
What could you warn Max about what not to do when crossing the road?
Please feel free to blog your thoughts. This week we are making road safety animations to help Max.
Do you often ask your children what they do in school each day??? Well this blog will give pupils the chance to write about what they have been doing in Year 3 with Mr Jones. You can also look back at the work Year 3/4s did from 2011/2012/2013 as all blogs will remain. The aim of the blog is share what we have been learning with others, it is a great way to see what we have been getting up to in Year 3. I hope you enjoy it!

Thinking Skills #1
This year many of you will be working on digital storytelling projects. Whether the stories we create are in groups, as a class, or individually, we will be able to use technology to tell some really awesome stories! So, to inspire us, letʻs take a look at a couple stories that were written by kids.
Watch the videos below!
Now, please turn to the person next to you and talk to each other using the following questions as a guide:
What did you like about the stories?
Which one did you like better? Why?
Now, in a comment on this post, tell me the answer to the following:
If you wrote a story that was about a really interesting main character, who would that main character be?

Last Day of Year 3 - 19/07/12
It has been a fantastic year and my most enjoyable as a teacher. We have all learnt so much together and everyone has achieved so much. We have developed great friendships and I look forward to seeing everyone again after the Summer Holidays. A big thank you to all pupils and parents for all your hard work and support this year.
Now it's time to write your thoughts and feelings, what have you enjoyed the most about Year 3. What are your favourite memories, lessons, topics, trip, activities, moments etc. I look forward to reading your comments and REMEMBER ... to use capital letters and full stops correctly. : )
