Yesterday we visited the Wetlands Centre in Llanelli as part of our topic "The Big Dip".

ReplyDeleteWe hat to get a fishing net and dip the fishing net in to the pond and try and get crèches then we went over to a table and we hat to tack the crèches out of the tray and put them in a bowel and me Ben and Oliver caught a water spider. ReplyDeleteI learnt that some insects breath through a bubble on their bottom such as the water spider and other insects breath throw their skin Diving beetle lava
ReplyDeleteI learnt that some insects go to the toilet through their skin and some even go to the toilet through the same place they eat out of. we fed the ducks and the duck called he neigh neigh eats the seeds from your hands. we saw loads of wild birds and there was a massive swan called the whooper swan. We also went pond dipping and found something called a larva nymph someone even caught a Stickleback
ReplyDeleteI learnt that the water spider breaths through a bubble on his/her bottom by going to the surface of the pond. I also learnt that the diving beetle lava breaths through its skin.
ReplyDeleteI learnt that a water louse has 14 legs and it goes to the toilet through its skin and I learnt that they have a big pool of water that all wild birds are allowed to attend to that pool of water so they can nest anywhere in that area.
ReplyDeleteI learnt that there are more creatures in the water that I thought there were. And I learnt were the breathing holes were in some of the creatures and it was funny when Heini told lots of toilet jokes.

ReplyDeletethe wetlands trip was fun I learned a lot about different wildlife bugs like the water spider somebody caught a massive water spider we did dress up only some people did dress up because there enough stuff I liked it people said it was boring but I thought one of the best trips year 4 been on
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the trip people said it was boring but I thought it was one of the best trips I have ever been on amber caught a huge water spider when we were looking at the insects our pond skater escaped then we went to look at all the others and the spider escaped and miss didn't like spiders
