Do you often ask your children what they do in school each day??? Well this blog will give pupils the chance to write about what they have been doing in Year 3 with Mr Jones. You can also look back at the work Year 3/4s did from 2011/2012/2013 as all blogs will remain. The aim of the blog is share what we have been learning with others, it is a great way to see what we have been getting up to in Year 3. I hope you enjoy it!
I loved the music it was AMAZING! and the picturs were very pretty and colerfull:-). i loved EVRYTHING!!!i also liked the learning obout the castle. I liked the shop at the end of the day. My day was brilliant
We learned that in victorian times they used a chamber pot for going to the toilet in the night because the toilets were at the very top of the towers. On special ocaitions if the men servents had lines going across there waistcoat thy worked inside if down outside. A candle snipper was for putting candle's out without getting wax on the wall.
Cardiff castle was AMAZING. First we went to a room with lots of victorian objects. There was a coal iron witch you had heat the coal and put the coal in the iron. There was a candle snipper witch put's out the candle so it did not get wax on the wall. Also there was a chamber pot witch you have a toilet in the night. There also was a gas lamp witch they used for light. We had a EPIC tour, it was the best tour ever. We had a good day.
We saw loot's of things like a candle snipper wich put out the candle. Also there was a gas lamp wich did not go out and a coal iron. And a severents outfit with lines across means work inside lines down go outside
Cardif Castle was EPIC! the hexagon stairs were really cool,I loved the libery but all the book's where THE CITY OF CARDIF.I loved learning about the candel sniffer's and the first iron to the last I loved cardif castle.
I really liked the trip to Cardif castle,but my favrite part was when the lady was telling us about the camber potty's because the maid put the potty under the bed so if the lady/man needed to go to the loo,they could just reach under their bed to go to the loo , but in the morning the maid needed to emtey the potty and clean it.IT WAS ACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I learnt lots it was epic the libary was massive and there was lots of books owls was amazing to see how big there eyes are and there wings were big to i couldnt believe they had peacocks there wings were massive i couldnt believe how big they were my best bit was watching the video of time travel and the shop had thousands of stuff but we only had two pound lots of them were higher than two pound but i bort a few they even had real cannons they were made out of real metal no plastic it was amazing the steps to get to this tower were realy steep they lead to the nursery on top of the door was a devil ihad a fun time i hope i learn more.
